But when we create a community with people who come from different backgrounds and have different needs, communication styles, and maybe even values, we often struggle to hear one another and work well together.

Mayfly Consulting brings PhD expertise in language and culture analysis and decades of experience in education and nonprofit management to help membership-based organizations and municipal government agencies solve these thorny problems and strengthen their communities.

    was the “third rail” in this religious community of about 500 families. I led an evaluation process designed to make the whole community feel included.

    was a challenge for this scholarly society because schools don’t teach anthropology. I built a community of teachers and a new strategy for engagement.

    is a priority for this interdisciplinary organization, but they didn’t know how well staff were getting the message. I facilitated focus groups that brought clarity.

daniele ginsberg, phd is an educator and social scientist with over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector as senior staff and board member. They use language and culture analysis, facilitation, and co-design to help membership-based organizations and municipal governments understand their community and design for their needs.
